First of all, I love my Canon G9. It's great to take anywhere I travel. Now with the underwater housing, I can redefine "anywhere" I travel! I just got back from a cruise where I did a fair amount of snorkeling. In the past, I just used the throw-away underwater cameras. They were better than nothing, but not by much. This housing made my underwater shots rock! It was a breeze to use. While underwater, you really can't see too much in the viewfinder, so it's a lot of point and shoot. Initially, because I didn't have the instant feedback, I was only hoping my shots would be usable. When I got back to shore and reviewed them, they were great! The clarity and color are magnificent! It's particularly nice since you can set the camera's white balance to compensate for underwater. That made everything a snap. Excellent underwater case
Like the camera I bought for use in this case, I had to give this 5 stars.

Other's commented that the zoom lever is flimsy. I didn't find that to be the case at all while using it underwater. It worked well. And while the available features are limited (zoom, start/stop record, take photo and power on/off are the only options), the cost of this case compared to other alternatives from other vendors is substantially less. And those vendors do not offer many more features and most won't allow you to view the LCD screen.

The case is solid. The camera fits very well and has a plate that attaches so it locks into the case. Most importantly it does what its supposed to and keeps the camera dry. The video quality is amazing and I found it quite easy to use the camera in one hand but would use both hands for steadier shots or if I needed to zoom in our out. Taking pictures while filming was also easy. Having the full LCD screen viewable is also great and something most other cases do not provide.

There is some sound recorded. In my videos, it was mostly my breathing, but at times you could hear other sounds. It's not all that useful, but more interesting watching it with no sound at all.

Bottom line - I don't think you can find a case that can do the same for anything close in price. While no features can be added as some of the more expensive cases, there really aren't any that are truly needed to take excellent underwater video and pictures.

This is one of two housings for the Olympus 5060 camera. In my opinion is a very cost-effective couple.
Infact the camera offers both the macro and supermacro focusing position (3 cm....) , a good definition (5 mega pixel) and manual exposure method. The PT020 housing has'nt small dimension, but underwater is easy to manage and offers a good hand position and stability. If you are able to find a good price for the housing and the camera (out of production...) i think that is a very nice choice moreover for the beginners....

I have used disposable underwater cameras before and the pictures came out quite disposable. When I opened the box to this housing I was immediately impressed! The camera is a perfect fit and the buttons/functions work flawlessly.

Even if you don't plan on going snorkeling or scuba diving, this housing is perfect for just catching shots splashing around the beach without having any worries. We just got back from the Bahamas and the camera stayed bone dry and the pictures came out crisp.

Excellent case, particularly for the price. I live on the Big Island where the reef is only a 15min drive, thus get to use my gear every few weeks. I bought the G11 as an everyday carry camera and a dive camera.

I've had this case for about four months. I've gone river rafting, hot springing, waterfall swimming, and diving down to 75' with it. The unit worked very well. Two comments: when you turn the dials on top, the camera dial rotates in the opposite direction; pushing the button half way to clear a pic that's on hold is problematic (easily solved by having the pic hold for 2 seconds). Highly recommended.
