Ewa-marine Under Water Housing

Ewa-marine Under Water Housing Ewa-marine Under Water Housing

The housing can be used on small boats, in the surf, while swimming, snorkeling or diving. It's easy to operate the camera as its various components and buttons can be operated through the PVC. With this housing, a whole new world of applications opens up for your digital camera. Inside the housing you can now take the camera safely canoeing, snorkeling or even diving, down to a depth of 30 m / 100 ft. Please note: We recommend the use of a mounted flash for diving. The D-AX housing is the perfect solution in this case. Experienced photographers have confirmed, that the auto focus and flash both continue to function perfectly.

As you descend, the air is pressed into the camera. Due to this, the pressure inside the housing will remain the same as the surrounding water pressure (this is the reason why ewa-marine housings are so safe to use: implosions are impossible). Due to this, we must start the dive with a suitable amount of air inside the housing. The foam pads supplied with the housing are part of this air "reservoir" and additional air should also be blown into the housing, via the valve at the rear, to ensure that the maximum potential volume is being utilised. The D-A housing is manufactured from double laminated PVC and has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass port. The flip-up, internal flash, that can be found on some models will fit into the specially designed section on the top of the housing, allowing its use above and under

Canon WP-DC21 Underwater housing for Canon G9

Canon WP-DC21 Underwater housing for Canon G9 Digital Cameras Canon WP-DC21 Underwater housing for Canon G9 Digital Cameras

Underwater Case for Canon G9 Digital Cameras

This is a nice, compact, functional housing that works very well for still photography. I've used mine to 150' without any mechanical or leak problems. However, users should be aware that when using the video capabilities of the G9 camera, there is a fair amount of audio "creaking" resulting from case compression that gets recorded along with the video.

Customer Review :

A great device !
First of all, I love my Canon G9. It's great to take anywhere I travel. Now with the underwater housing, I can redefine "anywhere" I travel! I just got back from a cruise where I did a fair amount of snorkeling. In the past, I just used the throw-away underwater cameras. They were better than nothing, but not by much. This housing made my underwater shots rock! It was a breeze to use. While underwater, you really can't see too much in the viewfinder, so it's a lot of point and shoot. Initially, because I didn't have the instant feedback, I was only hoping my shots would be usable. When I got back to shore and reviewed them, they were great! The clarity and color are magnificent! It's particularly nice since you can set the camera's white balance to compensate for underwater. That made everything a snap. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in underwater photos. At first, I thought it was a little pricey, but it's worth it!  Full Review
